Sustainability

The United Nation’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), offer a unique, transformative and integrative approach to shift the world on to a sustainable and resilient new path, which leaves no one behind.

Food and Aquaculture (Fish farming) are key to achieving the entire set of SDGs, and many SDGs are directly relevant to fisheries and Aquaculture. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has elevated recognition of the essential role of fisheries and Super intensive and sustainable Aquaculture for food security and nutrition in the context of climate change, especially in the developing and emergent countries.

They have also highlighted the critical importance of Aquaculture for the food, nutrition and employment of millions of people, many of whom struggle to maintain reasonable livelihoods.

The SDG’s 17 goals are incorporated into all our projects.

  • We have made significant strides to reduce our Energy & Water consumption.
  • Our innovative Wastewater Treatment Plant, both cleans and re-energises the wastewater, which is then used to irrigate our farms and grounds.
  • We use Biodynamic Farming Practices, to restore fertility to the soil on our farmlands.

Renewable energy for Fish farming projects

Our projects are based on renewable energy sources.
Such as:

  • Natural gas-fired electricity power plant
  • Biogas fired electricity power plant
  • Wind turbines
  • Solar panels
